For people who are looking for something different in the way of headwear; I design and produce a distinctive range of hand made headpieces with a fresh and innovative approach to headwear design.
Whilst my headwear is neither hat nor feather fascinator, it brings the wearer the very same thrill of standing out in a crowd. I create delicate structures using hand finished wood veneer combined with leather or paper, which look stylish, are easy to wear and are the ideal accessory to any special outfit.
My range features a variety of headpieces in different sizes, styles and finishes, ensuring there is something to suit any individual. I offer a colour match service for bespoke orders which is ideal for bridesmaid or mother of the bride outfits.

About Emma
My work stems from a love of hats and the way in which they enhance the stature and feelings of the wearer. Following my degree in Three Dimensional Design where I developed an interest in head adornment and an appreciation of the qualities of wood veneer, I specialised in creating headwear using this material.
Whilst the nature of veneer lends itself to such forms, it is not a material usually associated with headwear. I enjoy experimenting with techniques and finishes that enhance the intrinsic qualities of wood veneer and feel that there are endless possibilities.
Using a combination of woodworking and jewellery making skills I create my headpieces from strips of curved and twisted veneer which I laminate with other materials such as leather, paper, suede and felt to add texture...
